This privacy policy explains how Kingpin ("we", "us", "the game") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website at playkingpin.com.
When you play without signing in, we store your game progress locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and we have no access to it.
When you sign in with Google or email/password, we use Firebase Authentication to manage your account. We collect and store your display name, email address (if using email sign-in), and your Google account identifier (if using Google sign-in). This data is stored securely in Google Firebase.
We also store your game save data and leaderboard scores in Google Firestore, linked to your account. This includes your in-game name, rank, net worth, and game statistics.
Your information is used solely to provide game functionality: saving your progress across devices, displaying your name and score on the global leaderboard, and enabling account recovery. We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
We use the following third-party services:
Google Firebase — for authentication and cloud data storage. Firebase is governed by Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Google AdSense — for displaying advertisements. AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your browsing activity. You can manage your ad preferences at adssettings.google.com. For more information, see Google's advertising privacy policy.

We use cookies and localStorage for essential game functionality (saving your progress and authentication state). Third-party advertising services may also set cookies. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect game save functionality.
Your game data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@playkingpin.com and we will process your request within 30 days.
Kingpin is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
